i bought ipod touch work, rather disappointed screen. had been using 3rd generation ipod touch on loan work had return it, , had brighter, whiter screen. screen crisper in comparison, it's washed out, dim (i have set 100% brightness), , no-question-about-it yellow tinted.
had heard on ipad didn't realize ipod touch issue--especially since device has been out long.
called applecare today , guy amazingly casual , forthright. said, "no 1 knows why they're yellow. i've got iphone 4s , new ipad , they're both yellow. it's how now."
so, case? have ipod touch 4th generation isn't yellow , dim?
i'm tempted return , buy used 3rd gen, sounds crazy, thought had better display (yes had less pixels, looked "alive" vs. looking dim sepia photograph).
what seeing may in fact glue use bond glass device. had same problem when first bought iphone 4s. give few days - if doesn't clear up, take in , ask replacement.
