Just turned on Photostream but only 1 photo is showing up in iPhoto??

so mom wants photos computer turned photostream on iphone , got control panel set on imac.. in iphone 1 photo showing recent photo yesterday. want old photos (mainly last week) sync.. how can manually sync them or photostream work?

 

photo stream transfers photos taken while enabled. before photo stream synced them using itunes (and still can). not option? i'm on windows , open phone in explorer , copy them onto pc when icloud control panel fails copy them me.
