Mac Mini as a file server

hey everyone!

i've trolled long enough , thought post question.

thinking of using newer mac mini our file server our smallish office. it's sharing active folder around office.

office imac's couple pc laptops. i'm concerned sharing windows pcs.

can create on user on mac mini , have use credentials through user when accessing share? or have create separate accounts every person in office?
