i have iphone 3g dropped in water while back. put phone in sealed bag of rice , left alone 2 days. able power on phone , charge there problems hoping fix:
1) colors of screen bright after water damage, , after few months colors darker , have have brightness set @ 1/4 or else difficult see anything. know isn't screen damaged since tested phone new screen , nothing changes.
2) ringer/silent toggle switch functions have been reversed. when set vibrate, don't feel vibration indicates it's on vibrate. when set ringer position vibrates. tested taking logic board , putting working iphone 3g assembly, , again there no change. doubt flex cable includes volume, headphone jack, , sleep/wake button.
want know if can fixing these connections on logic board. have noticed water damage indicators on phone assembly not colored pink, 1 inside headphone jack. i've read elsewhere cause might corrosion. not know start problem i'm hoping me out in explaining , giving me instructions on how fix it, thank you!
