would consider switching from this laptop to a 13" macbook air?
the thinness , lightness of macbook air keep talking me few weeks now. i'm considering selling 2011 13" macbook pro buy new 13" macbook air. 1 i7 bells , whistles upgrades. current macbook pro has upgrades too; installed 256gb crucial m4 ssd, 8gb ddr3 1066 crucial memory, , 1tb samsung hdd in optical bay optical bay caddy. have windows 7 installed on bootcamp, , have core i7 @ 2.7ghz. snappy , quick on every application use in both win7 , lion, , enjoyed using much.
gripe have on 13" macbook air cpu 1.8ghz max not 2.7ghz pro, can't upgrade ram, 4gb max , it's soldered on, , matte screen, perhaps can use glossy screen protector. can live without 1tb hard drive since can make external save battery, can appreciate snappiness fast cpu.
think, worth trade thinness , lightness of air? have remorse in switching after being spoiled supposedly "better" stuff while?
me, chose pro first time because because of upgradeability, each day carry around on campus, wish pound or 2 lighter on back.
don't use mac play games, programming , web designing, word processing, , bunch of other personal image/video editing , encoding , converting, cpu intensive stuff.
