iPad takes down my whole uverse

a few members of family have ipads. there can few of on our at&t wireless uverse seems every other time ipad jumps on network wireless devices looses internet wired devices don't. checked network settings , seems ipad dosent assigned dhcp, once goes , unplugs uverse box , running out hitch rest of night. thought had bad uverse box but, girlfriend got ipad , same thing happening @ house uverse. know fix this? house using default code listed on side of box , @ mine changed code using standard wep

what range of addresses dhcp assign? can define range of addresses, iow can allow connect 1 or 2 or 100 different devices.
