Ipad 2 Safari oddity

i have ipad 2 , when surfing web, has developed odd behavior. if on website, such forum, , click button return previous page, take me page earlier date, maybe several weeks ago. if hit refresh button, refresh current page. ideas might causing this? rather annoying. help.

 

i've seen week, fix go settings -> safari -> clear cookies , data
