External Hard Drive questions

i have 2 750 gb wd passports.

1 of them broke mom never sent back, charged 120 $ but... started working again.

have half tb worth of memory.

suggestions on them. besides normal backing , etc?

hard drive fast enough scratch disk video editing?

 

depending on kind of video edit (hd or sd, highly compressed or transcoded), might be, usb bit slow hd video using proper editing codec.

, since failed startup , working again, might not choice use backup, unless double backup.
