MacBook Pro Heat.

i wanted make thread macbook pro heat, , share experience.

saved mac 6 months, imac, after screen smudge/dirt/dust issue many reporting, , apples lack of support, had let go of imac.. , ended being macbook pro.

had research mbp did imac, see if there issues them, , noticed "heat" issue going around.

people saying things like:

burns legs.
touching towards monitor end of body above keyboard getting
"blazingly" hot. point pull hand if touched it, not quite enough burn .

fans kicked in @ full speed becoming loud, , macbook pro hot , fans kick in during everyday tasks, web browsing - not youtube.

well, heres experience, , other here share theirs.

got first mac ever earlier month, late 2011 macbook pro - 15inch base model.

, let me tell - incredibly pleased discover how flawless heat of is.

before bought one, in weeks before did, went couple of stores check out macbook pro in store. neither hot, mentioned 1 of staff, concerns "heat issue" said macbook pro has been running day, feel - yes very cool.

said myself "but macbook pro running no tasks not test"

have own , heres can share:

hear macbook pro fans kick in loudly, mean rarely.

times iv heard kick in, maybe 5-10 minutes after watching full 1080p video, , don't mean youtube video, mean blu-ray quality video, 26gb size file.

web browsing never makes kick fans in or hot, while watching youtube videos more prolonged time.

gets more warm towards hot while importing/exporting video in imovie, or video editing. video i'm talking full 1080p hd video straight canon 60d.

fans loud , kinda hot while gaming.


otherwise, times :

macbook pro @ most, warm. if i'm running couple of apps, can really cool.

left impression on me because have come plasticky windows 7 acer laptop wasn't half power of machine.. , warm after 1hour use. using lap desk. after i'v applied arctic silver 5 compound twice in history bring cpu temps down 30's/early 40 marks.

cpu , gnu on macbook pro in late 40s or in 50s, body still remains cool lot of times. - impressive.

@ moment, quite lot of apps running including imovie, macbook pro warm.

worth noting -

has speck hard case on it, , keyboard silicone guard, cooler without these add ons.

have mbp on actual lap, on lap desk.
