Problems syncing bookmarks

hi,
new ipad synced bookmarks laptop first time.
deleted bookmarks laptop , expecting next time sync ipad bookmarks updated too.
wasn't case, bookmarks hasn't been updated.

browser safari , i'm on leopard.
do?
