Installing Windows 7 64 bit on older MBP

okay, own fact didn't read fine print on system requirements boot camp in lion. read supported windows 7 pro in 64 bit , went out , bought - find out there separate page said model macs support , mine isn't on list. :(

bought 17 inch mbp in late 2007 (right after leopard released) , apparently model released few months after supports it. bought windows 7 on newegg , have opened software in order install it, find isn't compatible. since i'm stuck , can't return opened software now, know of way make work? specific, problem starts after partitioning drive windows , when reboots stuck on screen says...

"1.

2.

select cd-rom boot type:_"

can't type or here. can around this, or creek , out money, plus money functional 32 bit version?

it's possible install x64 windows on macs don't support it. issue efi on mac , how windows boots efi. you're going need access windows machine, blank dvd , requires use of command prompt (not though).

this website show how fix dvd

i've done windows 7 pro disc, trial server 2008r2 , both windows 8 developer preview , windows 8 consumer preview , worked on discs
