i not know languages, willing learn. have 3 months summer learn program. ultimately, want make ios game utilizes iap.
has advised me start easier obj-c, corona sdk (lua language), because easier learn obj-c/xcode , because wouldn't have worry memory management. however, mean wouldn't have access ios features.
questions are:
1. should start learning corona/lua or should jump straight learning obj-c?
2. how difficult really, obj-c learn , program? 3 months sufficient learning , creating maybe simple game can submit app store?
3. can make game using obj-c or need learn other tools such opengl or physics engine box2d?
4. other tips appreciated.

hate tell this, if doing simplest of app store games worth paying money for, take @ least few weeks if knew doing.
recommended path learning this:
first, learn c. learned book, c programming language, years ago, don't think learned enough i'm going , relearning i've forgotten / might have missed entirely before. time, i'm learning free website:

i'm liking it. knowing , including stuff on functions website absolutely necessary. beyond... well... i'm going honest, i'm hazy on, , that's why i'm relearning c. nonetheless, i've made games without formally reading that.
anyways, once you're ready move on, suggest go stanford's free lectures on programming iphone on itunes u. they'll take knowing c obj-c (obj-c encapsulates c... c , obj-c code can mixed side side in same files.) stanford's courses cover lot of ios sdk.
point, apps i've made have been made entirely using c/obj-c , stuff ios (or mac os, in case of mac apps,) sdk. am, however, looking variety of game engines next project on account of fact using opengl/es appears be... not impossible, incredibly frustrating , time consuming.
oh, here's time estimates:
learning c - take 2-4 weeks of nonstop effort.
learning obj-c , ios sdk - 2-4 months.
making game - well, egg drop! first project ever put on app store. started working on @ start of may , had on ios app store end of june, took me 2 months. if try starting on , making again, think make in under 2 weeks, i've had full additional year of experience , learning.
1 other thing... how expect making game? egg drop! has been on store on 40 weeks , sold 84 copies @ $0.99. has brought in grand total of $58.80. suspect reason why because failed stand out in crowd of 100k+ different games.
won't making $100 paid on ios app store year. not time, anyways. i'll give shot later year when have more solid game try with.
