so, have appletv (3rd generation) , ipad (64b, vzw, 3rd gen). want use hbo go app , have go through tv/appletv instead of staying on ipad. used airplay function sound went through, video still on ipad. i'm not familiar airplay, i'm assuming it's functions are.
know there's cable connection it, i'm looking alternative. i'd rather not leave ipad connected tv every time watch show on hbo go.
i'm pretty sure lack of airplay video app hbo policy / restriction. there plenty of apps have video content, or video content, work fine (audio , video) on apple tv.
can give try built-in youtube app verify airplay video working ok in general.
