apple tv product i've never explored, being apple fan boy am, i'm taking @ it. don't watch terrible lot of television, stream content off web time time.
right have macbook connecting via mini-dvi/hdmi lcd tv.
i've been doing scattered research , have series of questions:
1. if buy atv apple store tomorrow, able jailbreak based on native preloaded firmware version?
2. hear when os x 10.8 comes out, i'll able mirror macbook's screen wirelessly onto tv using atv?
3. seems lot of people using software called "plex" broaden capability of atv. many of articles i've read dated. newest , robust.. jailbroken addon manager (excuse incorrect terminology).
4. lastly, how versatile jailbroken atv2? rephrase: use for?
know it's annoying whenever posts series of basic questions this, have everlasting gratitude replies.
1. no because 1 buy 3rd generation, running ios 5.1 hasn't been jailbroken yet.
2. wirelessly? im not sure according apple able use apple tv show mac's screen onto tv.
3. plex/xbmc 2 media programs can play different files types on apple tv, don't know if explaining correctly, allow play .avi , mkv, these types of file without have convert them through itunes. personnel opinion xbmc on plex
4. can use stream different file types apple tv, can have content stored on nas dont have have computer turned on watch of time.
