garbage won't empty

well emptied wastebasket there still 900 items left how dump all?

 

have tried reboot, trash elements still connected/ or locked source , restarting frees them source , allows trash empty complete correctly? if not can handled through terminal command issued through sudo rm -rf ~/.trash/* or have tried deleting items while holding down option key?
