Help Please(Powerbook G3)

ok, have powerbook g3 (firewire) got friend , not working. battery charged because bought new charger , light shows full charge. comes on , can hear harddrive kick on num locks lights along caps lock button there no picture @ all. tried pluging in monitor still nothing. can me?

does have os x or os 9? if have either, take computer , try booting on flash drive. tried on os 9, though. if works, hard drive problem.
