Migration Assistant wont see time machine back up

hello,

had have repairs on macbook pro, new logic board , hdd - need restore mac time machine have.
gave mac 10.6 installed, i've upgraded 10.7.

when use migration assistant, won't show up. show of mac backed same drive. i'm struggling of recovered , getting bit worried...

have searched have found nothing that's helped. sorry if missed anything.

other ideas on how loaded? help.

 

i've got show in recovery mode, when loads it, says:

"the backup cannot opened.
if password-protected backup, entered incorrect password. otherwise backup may damaged."

know entered correct password.
how can check if backup damaged?
