Microphone for iPod Touch, 3rd Gen, Lecture recording

i'm wondering if guys have recommendations recording lectures ipod touch, 3rd gen. prefer able record 50 feet away, have wifi access while recording. external mic's i've seen far recording voice memos nearby. recommendations?
