MacBook K.I.A?

hi guys, bought second-hand macbook pro 15" late 2008. first decided go , check out macbook guy sounded quite trustworthy. decided transfer money , have him mail macbook instead because lives quite far away (bad call, obviously).

today recieved macbook including charger. booted system, installed clean version of lion osx , running smoothly, although running little hot.

after messing around settings closed cover , expected go sleepmode. when returned 30 minutes later macbook felt quite hot still. guess didnt go sleepmode?

same happend again , placed laptop on bed. when returned 40 minutes later laptop dead. oh lord...

symptoms:

- dead. pressing button gives no response, period.

- no white indicator light

- no startup sounds

- no white screen

- no fan noise

- - dead

did far:

- pram reset etc.

- removing battery

- changing power chord

- disassembled entire macbook , reassembled

can guys give me advice think? cause? booted without problem in world, until (i guess) battery went dead. did guy screw me??

(useful) suggestions welcome!

p.s. plz dont tell me im idiot buying on mail without buyers protection. wife did guys, trust me...

did melt something? or sign of dead hard drive, had of same symptoms when mine needed new one.
