My G-Drive unmounts every two to three days, any idea?

i have g-drive connected through fw800 (powered through fw800 also), houses iphoto database. every 2 3 days, drive unmounts , need turn off , turn on.

idea why?

 

have verified or possibly repaired in disk utility?
tried fw800 or power cord if possible?

have same problem time time 800 external , relate either no being ejected or being shut off , on constantly.
