Preparations to take before jailbreak?

hello,

have iphone 4s, black, 64 gb. jailbreak, few apps (bitesms, iblacklist, etc.) , know if there precautions need take in event wish return stock phone.

jailbroke ipod touch 4g, 64 gb, last night, , took 2 attempts jailbreak (first 1 showed 0 signs of jailbreak) , several restarts, along few install of cydia apps , respringing of springboard stock apple apps show (they disappeared upon first jailbreak).

wondering should do, or if need take precautions.

date on software , have done backup in itunes.

suggestions great. thanks!

 

back-up in itunes, , go it. if goes wrong, restore back-up created previously.
