Craziest thing every

i have mac mini , using snow leopard , having strangest thing happen. many of folders empty in finder , when dowloading show in bridge are. haven't clue do, have updated snow leopard , restarted several times. has out there had happen or can me since of course time challenged on project working on. thanks
