13" MBA & 27" iMac for College. What's your opinions?

hi there!!!

i've decided on "mac setup" first year of college fall. believing purchasing 13" macbook air portability , notes in class/studying outside room.

decided 27" imac dorm. (mostly larger disk space, photo editing, , watching movies.)

opinions of this? have advice new "mac setup" college?

positive advice appreciated!

 

i think it's waste of money. starting college... 13" air, external hard drive, , external monitor (non-apple branded) , save rest of money. may not need external monitor unless you're studying need large of screen. not mention dorm rooms pretty small, don't see have room stuff anyway. don't see point in bringing on $3000 of apple products in dorm can stolen or destroyed beer you'll happy saved cash.

, bit of advice, don't bring computer class. it's distraction, , find better use old fashioned notebooks take notes. people bring computers class end on facebook instead of listening lecture.
