Carbon Copy Cloner question

i have no personal files on imac hard drive. have 2 lacie d2 external drives. 1 backs via time machine , second drive has personal files. second drive backed automatically via time machine. got third lacie d2 run carbon copy cloner, , third in daisey chain (furthest computer.) after initial hard drive copy should leave on or shut off? if leave on, have 2 backup of system, 1 directly computer hard drive , second external drive running ccc. problem?
