i had hdd replaced on mbp apple dealer , had ram upgrade done @ same time.
had backed original drive using tm , dealer did same. when computer returned had lion installed previous snow leopard installation came computer.
tried partition drive using boot camp unable kept getting following message "the startup disc must formatted single mac os extended volume or partitioned boot camp assistant installing windows". same message came in trying create partition using disk utility.
have since reformatted hdd twice , re-installed snow leopard twice still same message when trying partition using boot camp or disk utility. dealer unable further without me resorting phone calls technical dept.
info shows drive formatted mac os extended (journaled).
can assist further checks can find out problem.
can post screenshot of disk utility -> (your disk) -> partition tab.
(or open terminal.app , post output of "diskutil list /dev/disk0" command.)
