can tell me how macbook pro performs logic studio in comparison mac pro?
use 2005 power mac , have logic studio running ableton live together, 2006 macbook pro struggled this.
anyway apple practically stopping support old power pc, feels time upgrade i'm not sure to? don't want imac , current offering of mac pros 2 years out of date. seems leave 2 choices
1. go mac book pro (but cope, how dual screens work , how manage current 600gb of music content?)
2. wait new mac pro (could waiting long time, desktops becoming obsolete?)
the current macbook pros fine running logic pro. have 2010 2.66 i7 , runs well. biggest bottleneck here not cpu rather storage medium. if using logic serious work (sounds are) recommend getting ssd @ least 50+ gb application files. 2010 mac pro fine too, bet mbp ssd run faster mp more cpu power , disk drives. whatever decide on getting @ least 8gb ram (more if can).
