dissapointed best buy today. went , got 4g model , had bb "pre-activate" service. signing people post-paid plans , not informing buyer. basically, post paid account creates new account in carrier system means monthly bill, minimum data plan of 2gb verizon instead of 1gb minimum , credit check (this why people posted requiring social security numbers when activating). worse yet, can no longer manage account through ipad settings instead, must go through app or website.
had go vzw , them void account , install new 4g sim card on ipad. painful process in itself.
i'd complain best buy. send letter customer service , send copy apple letting them know. if hear enough complaints more make sure resellers informed plan options , don't try "upsell" customers postpaid account isn't necessary.
setting prepaid data account straightforward on ipad, , there no real advantages postpaid plans right now.
