Mac mini thunderbolt ssd

i wondering if can use kingston hyperx ssd usb housing on thunderbolt port on mini? know if boot thunderbolt? dont see why wouldn't work, being use thunderbolt adapter usb connect ssd. far speed concerned there shouldn't bottleneck. speed of ssd. every try this?

 

seagate has thunderbolt sata adapter 99 + cable. comment usb thunderbolt a. not exist , b. usb 2.0 bottleneck have usb 3.0 going sata usb 3 thunderbolt?
