Right click highlights selection?

i'm not sure if 'norm' mac, , doesn't harm, makes me feel 'it's not working properly'....

whenever right click on anything, (more not, it's link), highlights whole link... example, see web link, right click open in new tab, , highlights link (and remains highlighted).... it's mildly annoying (or maybe i'm being ocd) when you're reading wikipedia article or , you're opening links in new tabs , have random highlighted word.
