so not fluent in use of mac. i've had system 3 years. lately i've been having issues network connectivity. when want browse interwebz, error (on google chrome) saying how dns lookup failed. know connected internet , through t&e i've come conclusion related "configd" in way. how know first time experienced issue, 1 thing tried fix shutting down computer while rebooting (restarting did not fix it). had come when loading desktop configd wanted access , allowed , internet connection worked again. have no idea or how connected, seems answer. main question is: how manually 'allow' when seems have failed? or if think different problem, please explain.
here side issues can answer if kind , have knowledge:
-my disk drive likes spin around disk spit out without reading it.
-blackboard collaborate conference session not run regardless of web browser(i'm thinking java issue) i've chatted bc tech support , apple support no avail.
have done fair amount of research on these issues , trying find "diamond in rough" kind of person me. running on leopard way.
