Create Digital Signature from Image?

i reading lion's (or rather preview in lion's) ability create digital signature scanning image of through isight or other form of webcam.

however, don't have webcam, i'm wondering, possible somehow using static image, example if take 1 digital camera, or trick os x thinking has webcam that's sending same image continuously?

if not, there other signature scanning options out there take picture of signature , convert say… eps file easy, clean inclusion document?


it's bit annoying feature rely on webcam, when there plenty of mac mini , mac pro users out there aren't going have webcam, may have useful digital camera.
