hello, remember when first got out of box imac start (or boot up) quickly. starts little slower...
need cleaning on computer? don't know how... have heard onyx , using disk utility still don't know since still don't know applications imac has or other software onyx. , don't know how use time mashine if need use in order clean imac...?

if not broke don't fix it. it's normal startup slowdown add apps run @ startup. more apps run @ startup slower startup , comp slower shutdown close running apps before. think apps onyx not necessary unless never leave comp on overnight mac runs owm cleanup program set 3.00am in morn. why people worry startup speed makes me laugh. take life easy switch on comp make coffee return comp , running relax enjoy. oh yes -i use itweax onyx same thing use run apple daily/ weekly/monthly cleanup progs not leave comp on overnight lot. antivirus think not necessity unless pass lot of work etc between mac pc. if you're thinking getting antivirus app ma ]y suggest clamxav free , unintrusive i've had on comp purring in background , noticed uses 2% of 1 core. although very rare mac can virus think fair comp not used carrier pass on. hope been helpful.

oh yes time machine not cleanup prog it's backup prog .i take didn't read booklet came comp in there gives info progs do. if need or have prob go in menu bar , type in hint of prob comes answer helps.
