QT .mov file plays in preview, but not in QT

so, have these videos play in "get info" preview window, when open them qt show up, if press play nothing happens. can advance timeline , video moves forward not play. opened in vlc , plays "smeared". have perian installed.

so, gives?

 

use videospec, mediainfo mac or mediainfo analyse video , attach report next post.
mac os x , qt player version use?
