Use iPad as standalone monitor for mac mini

i have been using airdisplay on ipad use ipad monitor mac mini.

works through wifi network mac mini automatically connects on start up. can connect them ad-hoc network brings me question,

can ad-hoc network created automatically on each start up?


if connect mac mini , ipad anywhere there power source if there no wifi available.

have airdisplay , have not been successful setting display. interested in doing similar. did work in windows 7 bootcamp well? how lag compared remote desktop?
