iPod display to tv please help

i have jail broken ipod touch ios 5 , want know if can display tv. have cable connects ipods headphone jack 3 color thing connect tv. want know if can please answer if know how.

 

when 'display' . . . trying watch netflix movie on tv, or see actual screen?

watch netflix movie, bought cord @ best buy (i think), goes out bottom, dock connector. not allow see apps etc on device, watch movie. worked great ipod touch.

have iphone, , got cable adapter, accepts hdmi cable, goes dock connector. cable, can see screens etc.

i'm not 100% on this, think cable have worked ipod called 'video' ipod, made few yrs ago.
