i have tmobile , have wanted iphone forever - took plunge , bought used iphone 4 jailbroken , unlocked (1.59 baseband, ios 5). i'm mac user , i've had ipod touch know basics, know 0 whole jailbreak/unlock thing , i'm terrified i'm going accidentally lock phone or something!
did search on sort of thing here didn't see specific answers these qs - please forgive me if stuff answered somewhere. if there's great website or thread covers love pointed in right direction....
short of that, i'm hoping here can answer couple of specific questions:
1. i've looked around online bunch haven't found good, clear set of directions how set myself on tmobile. simple putting mini sim card in , that's it? have manually put in settings or anything?
2. way can screw unlock update software, correct? assume iphone works ipod touch in when plug phone computer, itunes ask me if want update software - won't ever go ahead , right (i'll have chance no?)? @ point i'm paranoid plugging mac!
3. there other tips or settings or things need know?

open cydia , search ultrasn0w, if thats installed means unlocked, if not install it
easy putting tmobile sim in.
if itunes wanting restore iphone pwnagetool , follow instructions iphone. when click restore hold option , select .ipsw generated pwnagetool keep baseband @ 1.59
