my lcd connector broke 3gs!!

hey first post, changing screen assembly on , lcd cable broke connector, said awww man, ended cleaning out broken bits , putting in different lcd, works no prob..

anyways on real question there way change flex cable off lcd, or should cut losses, going lcd.
