a few days ago bought new 2nd generation apple tv play through hd television. works fine youtube, podcasts , picking itunes music pc , playing on television.
problem not play vimeo or wsj or itunes movies hd. television samsung (model le40b530/le40b541) bought in 2010 "hd ready".
if select hd movies in itunes or in vimeo or wsj, starts whirly download thing , stops big yellow message : "this content requires hdcp playback. either hdmi cable isn't connected or hdmi connection doesn't support hdcp. please reconnect hdmi cable apple tv , try again".
have tried reconnecting hdmi cable , doesn't solve problem.
straight out-of-the-box apple tv - no "jailbreaking" or similar has been attempted.
got advice or suggestions.
