i've been getting fed car(2005 suzuki aerio sx) , starting @ getting new car. i've pretty decided on car want(2012 subaru impreza).
have tips/strategies on how have best car buying experience? how best price, best financing, best trade in value?

far best price/etc, try emailing/calling dealerships around area in. if know serious interested in negotiating. if "i'm kinda interested in car, can deal?!" might not bother serious offer. "i interested in 2012 subaru impreza have in stock. purchase timeline asap (or whatever is) , trading in 05 suzuki aerio, xx,xxx miles , in xxx condition." work lot better.
if in rural area without lot of dealerships might not try that, though, options far more limited.
far financing, bank offer loans? bank able me far better loan dealership do. having "pre-financed" helps since means can tell dealership "i have financing well" meaning 1 fewer hurdles perspective.
tradein value - figure out how current car worth. if don't know it's worth, not best value.
