Apple TV2 and Bandwidth Issues

i have apple tv2 , love it. our wireless usage has gone way on past year in house 2 ipads, iphones, computers , philips airplay ring speaker. atv2 losing network connectivity while streaming films itunes on laptop. ring losing it's connection itunes.

have pretty big house , made of concrete, 3 floors. have airport extreme connected adsl router located in our office @ lowest level. have airport express in our living room (extended network) has laptop music/film files , atv2. living room separated rest of house thick concrete bearing wall , not receive signal base station.

think problem bandwidth. maybe airport express can't handle traffic of streaming video , music simultaneously along web surfing on various devices.

should new extreme living room replace express? bandwidth?

hard wire 2 extremes (office/living room) if help.

thoughts on plan.

hardwiring second airport extreme help. each time signal repeated take significant performance loss, eliminating hops hard wiring things make difference.

regarding overall situation, it's not airports losing signal or don't have enough bandwidth. it's 802.11n, wireless system being used) doesn't have requisite performance handle many systems in house concrete walls. in other words, there's not wireless system on market today this.

running ethernet between 2 main areas mentioned worth effort. price of airport extreme, can buy wiring, tools, , hire install wiring. it's not expensive or hard do. , difference in performance quite noticeable.

i'd recommend run single ethernet cable dsl\airport extreme area have tv , ring speaker. behind tv install simple gigabit network switch. can purchase 1 4 or 8 ports name brand $20-40, if not less. provide bandwidth airport extreme main usage area. then, can plug current airport express , extend network on ethernet, instead of wireless. plus, you'll moving apple tv off ethernet , onto wireless matters.

in experience, money , time spent running ethernet never wasted. due inherent physical properties of cables versus wireless signal, ethernet trumps wireless in home , business. now, there's new specs wireless coming onto market constantly, including major new revision called 802.11ac. improve situation ethernet still less expensive, more reliable , less prone signal interference.

it.
