Fake (virtual) multichannel sound in Mac OS

hi all,

there no way in mac os play itunes or spotify music tracks using speakers , sub-woofer connected 7.1 channel external usb audio card?

@ moment system plays music front 2 speakers stereo sources spotify etc. speakers used if playing music players , audio formats support multiple channels. ideas how fake multiple audio channels, way windows it? have diamond 7.1 channel usb external sound card , mac os lion.

 

some amplifiers have option multiple stereo/ channel stereo, makes left speakers output left , same right.

being said, why? stereo stereo, , should left way, you'd surprised the impact stereo can have
