Need advice on seeting up my 1st iPad

hey guys, joined ipad club after sitting on sidelines while. have question, there easy way update of existing iphone apps ipad versions without having go , re-download them individually? other tips setting first ipad?

 

if universal apps (have + next them in app store) don't have anything. automatically optimize device on.

others gonna have search see if theirs ipad specific version.
