Used 2008 iMac Help Please?

hi,

i'm new mac.. have used them never had restore/etc..

problem got used 2008 imac 2.4 ghz core 2 duo
, has lion installed. did not receive restore dvds.

when received imac still had previous owners information , files
on , delete of information , have new install of lion. don't care of files on computer not mine.

know can hold command + r @ startup recovery i'm not sure there , don't want blindly , screw up.

prefer not have re-purchase lion on computer when purchased. if thats possible

appreciated/of if direct me information on how awesome!

if did not receive install disks want careful reloading machine. without disks not able reinstall ilife apps came computer.

options consider:

- contact individual , ask if can locate original disks send you.

- contact apple support , see if can ship replacement disks (don't know associated cost contain leopard not lion) @ least have disks incl. version of ilife.

- if have admin access, delete unwanted profiles , leave os , existing programs intact.

- try cmd+r (boot restore partition), erase disk using disk utility , reinstall lion, long you're comfortable losing ilife apps.

thing lion mac app store purchase, associated apple id not machine, in case previous owner. have purchase under apple id own original copy. , need have @ least sl purchase lion app store.
