Lion compatibility with leopard

i have 2 tb hard drive lot of data on old imac. has leopard 10.5.8 version on it. can still boot drive using new imac or macbook pro? able install regular leopard on new machines?

 

unlikely, leopard not include drivers current 2011 machines.
if have 10.6.8 use 2011 macs except mba.
