iPhoto Library

hi guys,

new iphoto. quick question:

i've had photos in separate folders before. once import them iphoto able delete folders individual pictures files are?
how iphoto import original files master iphoto library file can delete individual folders/files have now?

e.g. have folder 20 photos in form vacation. once import folder iphoto want have iphoto make copies of pictures , categorize/index/store them can delete original folder 20 photos in it.
