i think know answer, wanted input others might have done same...
should invest money 2008 mbp (which needs new battery , more ram), buy monitor mirror on bigger widescreen, , wireless keyboard , mouse. few hundred sure.
or should sell mbp, use money gonna invest mbp, , low end imac.
major ram hungry app use lightroom 3
have ipad coming friday satisfy surfing, email, , apps needs travel/lounging around purposes.

i vote imac. have lowend 2.5 i5 , great machine. if can fair money yours used, sell it. that's 1 of hte best things macs (resale value).
