iMac mid/late 2007 running 10.7.3 Fan Controls

i'm using smc fan control, utility runs in menubar. created setting leaves fans available running full blast (see screenshot). leave on default, when i'm rendering videos, or doing heavy graphic design work (photoshop, indesign, etc…) set full blast or on hot days i'll leave on full blast.

safe leave these fans running on full blast time? or there safer/smarter way cool mac using fans. maybe there's better utility out there?

you don't need 3rd party app manage fans. mac manage temperatures , fans keep temps within safe operating range, without interference user or apps.
