Flashback Malware Authors Using Twitter to Talk to Infected Machines

we've been following time story of flashback trojan has been targeting mac users masquerading flash player installer has been evolving include increasingly sophisticated tactics infecting users' computers.

antivirus firm intego now reports flashback's creators using interesting new tactic communicating machines infected trojan: twitter. according report, flashback programmed search twitter tweets containing unique 12-digit code changes daily, malware's authors being able issue commands infected computers posting number of twitter accounts including appropriate code hashtag.
intego monitoring twitter commands being issued using hashtag codes, noting flashback uses number of different user agent strings in web queries looking twitter contacts, seeking avoid detection , removal.

crap on social media, tremendous amount of in places free expression possible through twitter, etc. it's powerful tool many in world, , sympathy might have hackers totally absent in situations this.
