Cannot delete files

hi, have been scanning photo's using canon pixma mg 5250. in addition jpegs have imported iphoto, appears have created thousands of .tiff files, cannot move trash. when attempt that, message:

item “li-88131434798349.tiff” can’t moved trash because can’t deleted.

there thousands of these , "class action"delete, appear have consumed huge amount of storage!

appreciated.

 

what permissions on folder these stored? might not have correct permissions on folder.
