Apogee Duet 1 has 2 separate volumes all of a sudden?

before when turned big knob on duet, controlled master volume.

volume keys on mbp 17 control master volume , big knob controls output volume.

maestro working fine.

if mess both volumes @ same time 2 volume faders pop on top of each other @ bottom center of screen when there one.

normal way?

know how fix this? tried restarting.

think happened when plugged in , unplugged firewire cable.

use logic if relevant.
